ANZAC Biscuits by Daimen and Jayden

On Tuesday the 5th of May room 7 made ANZAC biscuits for our war.we went in groups of 6 and made one biscuit for each person. we made them with golden syrup, flour, butter, oats and sugar, We could make them any shapes or sizes. After that we made hard tacks. Hard tacks are what the soldiers used to eat, they were made with salt, wheat, water, flour and milk powder. Sometimes soilders were lucky and corned beef or something with there hard tack. With the Hard tack we only made it into 4 biscuits.

When we had our war all we got to eat or drink were the hard tack and water, some people loved the hard tack but most hated it.

Summer poster by Cyrus and Ryan

In room7 we had to make a summer posters. We had to design it in one of our learning books and then get a A3 piece of paper. Then we had to make our favourite summer recipe and put it somewhere on the paper and we had to do a shoe poem about what you think about your shoe. And then you have to put your name on it to. And then you had to design it. We did it because our school project was FUN in the SUN. We were learning about having FUN in the SUN.

War poster by Leon

In room 7 we had to make a war poster. We had to do it on pic collage were learning how to summarise information by rewording the most important parts of the text in a few sentences and synthesising information by reflecting on how we would feel if we were an ANZAC soldier, based on the facts we have read. If I was in the war I would use a periscope riffle because I would have a better chance to suvive by being able to keep my head down.

War poster by Cyrus and Cameron

In room7 we had to make war posters. We had a W.A.L.T and it was to summarise info by rewording the most important parts of the text in a few sentences. We had to write some facts and two war words and a sentence that started with" if I was ". I did it with nobody because I didn't need help. The reason we did it was so we could learn about what it was like to live in the trenches and be at war.

War in room7

Wednesday 6 of May room 7 made a mess of the class with our paper war. Our trenches were made out of desks with paper over them and we made bomb shelters out of card and blankets. We had a class war to see what it felt like to be in the trenches and it did not seem nice with limited amount of food and water and paper flying every were.

I was in a team with Courtney,Tylah,Cyrus,Nerissa,Boston,Bella,Daimen,Katie,Ryan,Denzyl, and Lachlan. It was horrible because we didn't get the food and drinks when we wanted and we had to ask to do anything.

Bike safety

A day on Tuesday I'm not sure...... We had Jono the cop and two safety helpers come to ngaere school. We had to bring our own bike and of course our own helmet but if we didn't have them or if we  didn't bring them the health and safety crew gave us some mean as bikes and helmets. We did like a cool course if felt like u were kinda on the road we has roundabouts give way signs it was really cool and fun! We also have races but not like the fastest person wins it was the slowest person wins that was really hard! Also the people that won those races get these cool prizes but we haven't got them yet. But other than that it was a awesome experience!

Summer home sample

After we finished our summer poster we had to do a assessment on pic collage saying why we put certain pictures on it or why I put a certain flavour recipe on it. We also had to put our summer plan on it. After we printed it we had to rate our selfs on certain questions.
