Summer poster

I
In term 1 our whole school topic was fun in the sun. Room 7 made a posters to sum up what we like to do in summer... A few of us had some troubles, mine was I made my objects to big for my piece of paper so I had to balance it out. To solve that problem I got a larger piece of paper and put it on the back... I thought that it balanced it out. To give it some texture i added some pop out things such as a paua shell, normal shells, soda cans and an ice-cream. I also found that it looked a bit gappy so I painted a ocean background.

War card

For ANZAC day room 7 had to make there own war cards and I did mine on life in the trenches. We had to get a picture of our topic and put it for the background but you can't really see my picture also our war cards had to be black and white so it looked quite old. I also think that my writing is a bit hard to read but I know for next time 😃

Nouns and adjectives by maeve

Waves around, cold but high, blue to see the view. Nice to touch, crowed to see. Waves hair cools me down. Nearly couriers, cool to be a ball.

Writing poems with nouns and adjectives By Katie, Nicole, jack, Cameron, Ryan, Jayden, Leon

We saw a picture of a boy in a zorb ball on water. We had to come up with nouns, adjectives and phrases to describe the photo. We visualised that we were there to help us describe. We have been learning about some different types of poems.

Blue sky, sheltering people
Wavey water leaps up
Blue pool making waves
Hard zip floating smoothly
The bouncy ball rolls on water
Hot days playing through the water
The tall shady trees keep the sun away

Cameron's summer art

Room 6 and 7 had to make a poster of our favourite things of summer. First we had to do a plan in our book then we had to gather all our pieces from school and home.We did it because we were learning  about summer. This is mine above ⬆️

Life education trust bus, by Emma and Hollie

Thanks to the life education trust bus for coming to Ngaere school to help all the students learn more about their life and when they get older. Thanks to Megan Lilly  who was the one and only person to teach the whole school. Everyone had an awesome time. We learnt about our body parts and systems and what they do for us. We also learnt about stress . Stress can be good and bad, people can feel nasty  and take there anger out on people and property . We learned some good ways to deal with stress.
