Poem, By Alyssa

The ball is bouncey and it bounces around the beach.
The trees are swishing and swaying down.
The sky is bright and colourful.
The pool is big with alot of splashing happening.
The buildings are high and colourful.

Nouns, adjectives and phrase. By Emma

round ball in the crystal blue sky,
green trees swishing loud, loud and louder.
pretty clear blue crystally Sky,
ice-cold freezing pool sitting right in front of me

Homework recipe by Katie and Maeve

The task was to find our favourite summer recipe. We did it so that we could make our favourite recipe at school and see everyone's summer recipes. We made these so we can put them on our summer board full of all our favourite summer things like favourite food and photos. This is Katie's summer recipe - Jelly tip ice-blocks!

Our summer art, By Bella

Recently, we have been working on this piece of artwork for our topic which is 'Fun In The Sun'. It has  yet to be finished by sticking some beach words in the right side of the picture. On the left, we have Hollie Radford's amazing artwork, and on the right is Bella Collins' fabulous artwork. Both of these girls have worked extremely hard to get it at this standard. We used pastel and some of us even used coloured pencil to get it detailed. These pictures were inspired by our family beach day earlier this term.

Swimming Goals, By cameron

The swimming goal I set my self at the beginning of the year was to swim 2 lengths with perfect breathing  and kicking.
My success criteria was eyes facing the bottom and breathing at 3 strokes not 4 and to turn my head sideways not lifting it up.
Did I achieve my goal? YES
I know this because the teacher told me and i watched a video of myself. And because when i watched the video i saw that i was breathing at 3 strokes not 4 .
Something i found challenging was getting perfect kicking.
I was successful at swimming this term because i had perfect strokes.
My swimming sports goal was to come in the top 5.

I didn’t achieve my goal because I did not swim at swimming sports but I will have that goal for next year.

Ginger beer, by Daimen

Mrs England has set room 7 a task to grow thier own ginger beer and package it. They all went In groups of 2-4.

Each child had to agree what they would do to help. Two people would grow the bug while one would make the packaging and the other would make a plan and the name. Each day the children responsible for growing the bug had to be feed a teaspoon of ground ginger and a teaspoon of sugar.

This is part of our fun in the sun unit, we are learning how ginger beer is made as well as how to package and market our product.
